My Website

During this unit, I explored the different techniques within Photoshop and applied them to seven different projects. I learned a lot about how to make pictures blend together, how to change color schemes, using the different tools to turn the photograph into something else, etc. Though there were some difficulties, I had a lot of fun working on each project, and applied those techniques that I learned to my website. If I were to do this and any of the other projects again, I would apply more detail and time to each to make each better. I really enjoyed the class, and I really want Photoshop on my computer!

Masking Fur Project 2 (adding hair and a background)

1. Was there anything unexpected?
I really liked adding on the hair-- it added quite a bit more detail to the photo. It was also fun to put the backgrounds up and blend the two photos.

2. What would you do differently if you did it again?
Keep working on blending the photos-- I feel the first looks less realistic simply because of some sizing issue and color issues.

3. On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate this project?
A 9-- very easy, simple, and teaches quite a bit for future projects.

4. How would you rate your own creativity on this project?
I thought I had a good idea, but like I said earlier, I should have added more detail.

5. How is the class going for you in general?
This is my last project, and I'm sad to be leaving! I really enjoyed the class as a whole and everything I learned.

Reaching out of Bounds Project

1. What would you do differently if you did it again?
I made the canvas size for the first photo too large... so there's a lot of leftover black space that sort of takes away from the project.

2. On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate this project?
A 9--- I had a lot of fun with this, it was a good beginners project, and was not too tedious or difficult but still taught you a lot.

3. What do you think you were meant to learn during this unit and did it work?
I learned adding shadows, putting layers in their proper places to make the image turn out like you want, changing colors to add depth to the photo, and how to make an image pop out of another image and look realistic.

4. Did it turn out like you thought it would?
Pretty much-- as I said before, I wish I knew better how to estimate the canvas size, but for the most part, I'm happy with my results.

5. How is the class going for you in general?
Still loving it, still having fun with everything, and still learning a lot about the class and the techniques you can apply to photos.

Stone Portrait Project

1. Was there anything unexpected?
This project was surprisingly difficult, mainly because there was so much detail work involved. I have never worked with the lighting effect before or putting in so many different layers, so I had a good time with this project despite the difficulties.

2. Did it turn out like you thought it would?
I had hoped it would turn out better... I had some issues with the masks in the top dancer project, so some stuff got left out, but all in all I'm pretty satisfied with my work.

3. On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate this project?
I would give this project an 8--- it was rather difficult but it taught a lot of really interesting tools that really add to the project as a whole, despite their tediousness.

4. How would you rate your own creativity on this project?
I think I was pretty creative with this project-- I chose a model that was not facing forward, so I had to really work with her angle and the way she held her body.

5. What would you do differently if you did it again?
I would add more texture to the statue-- it definitely makes it look more interesting and realistic.
